The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events.  These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. GENERAL: OPEN TO  4 CYLINDER, front/rear WHEEL DRIVE Passenger automobiles & pick-up trucks (no 4wds, station wagons, convertibles or t-tops) No High Performance or sports type cars or quad 4’s.

  • Complete stock body
  • Complete stock frame & suspension components in stock location
  • VIN number plate must be in car

 

Wheel Base-108” Maximum wheel base

 

SUSPENSION: All steering components must remain stock.  Suspension must remain stock.  

 

COMPONENTS: Stock carburetor/fuel injection for make/model. No turbos. OEM air intake system can be relocated for clearance for safety or you can run sealed cold air intake.   Engine & unaltered OEM components must match for year, make & model. ECU mounted in accessible location for inspection. OEM transmission. Flywheel, clutch assembly, flex plate, torque converter must remain unaltered. Inspection hole in bell housing. No Mirrors. No Radios

 

WEIGHT:

 

    • Weight on far right side
    • Steel door plate may be added to driver’s side roll cage-recommended by 2019

 

  • Cars with OEM stock engines must weigh a minimum of 2,100 pounds (with driver)
  • 2,000 pounds with Hydraulic Head (with driver)

 

 

ENGINE:  Four Cylinder engines. Engines allowed 10% above stocmpression.

BODY: FRONT WHEEL DRIVE Passenger automobiles & pick-up trucks (no station wagons, convertibles or T-tops) No High Performance or sports type cars or quad 4’s.

 

  • Complete stock body
  • Complete stock frame & suspension  

components in stock location

  • VIN number plate must be in car
  • Doors must be welded shut.
  • May remove dash.
  • May use quick release steering wheel &

collapsible steering shaft.

  • Window net with heavy duty rod & latch

release.

  • All exterior trim, all glass, air bags, interior

trim, seats, headliner, insulation under

hood, etc must be removed.

  • May remove inner structures of door, trunk

lid and inside of top.

  • If hinges removed from hood and trunk,

must have hood pins on each corner

  • Windshield may be used or wire mesh with at least three safety bars.
  • Bumpers must be welded or chained to frame & have tow hooks front & rear.
  • May remove: A/C, smog pump, catalytic converter, inertia switch (fuel shut off-Ford). OEM exhaust manifold is required. Exhaust to exit past driver & parallel to ground.
  • Electric cooling fan may be wired to run constantly.
  • Fuel tank in front of rear axle separated from driver’s area by metal firewall. May use approved fuel cell with safety switch. If fuel line goes through driver’s compartment, must be steel.

 

  • Battery mounted under hood (securely), any other place must be in marine box.  
  • Roll Cage: Four or Six point roll cage with (minimum 1.5” X .095”) steel tubing. Rear roll bar hoop behind driver requires “X” bars for bracing. Minimum of four bars in driver door & three in left door with vertical bracing from top to bottom. Roll bars electric welded & attached to steel plates (min. 3”x3”x0.25”). Two straight bars may run to rear with no additional bracing. Interior may be hulled for roll bars only, not to make lighter. No holes in firewalls. All bars, dash padded in driver’s area. No bracing anywhere except inside driver’s compartment. Steel or Aluminum driver’s door plate recommended.
  • Tire & Wheel: 13’’-16’’ (No spacers) DOT STREET TIRE
    • Tires must be inside body
    • No low profile/performance tires
    • Camber & caster adjustment plates mechanism stock, no modifications
    • Right side use oversize lug nuts
    • May modify by drilling or grinding lower bolts holes in strut for camber adjustment but MUST USE STOCK BOLTS.
  • Brakes: OEM Brakes on all wheels. No shut off or bias adjuster.
  • Safety Equipment: Fire retardant driving suit & gloves are required. Approved aluminum racing seat, racing safety belts, working fire extinguisher, approved helmet, gloves, shoes, and a SFI approved fire suit & neck collar required.

Body: All bodies must be stock appearing. Vehicle noses and rear sections must be stock style and closed off with no open rear bumper areas.

  •         All glass must be removed.
  •         All vehicles must have a 20 gauge steel fire wall and floor pan.
  •         Drive shaft tunnel must be in floor pan.
  •         Cars cannot have enclosed decks.
  •         Body must be centered on the chassis
  •         The steel floor must extend from the left side frame rail to the right side frame rail and from the fire wall to the back of the driver seat.
  •         A rear fire wall must be between driver and rear section of car.
  •         Firewall may be clearance for headers.
  •         A rear fire wall must be in place separating the driver interior from the fuel cell/rear suspension area.
  •         No fiberglass body panels except for hoods.

Frame: X bracing ok.  Rear wheel drive full size model cars. No front wheel drive, all wheel drive, or 4×4 models. Frame must remain stock from front to rear, except from the center of the rear axle back may be built from 2×3 SQ. Camaro and other cars not full framed may be connected. Full containment seat recommended. Full roll cage required with a minimum of 1.5” tubing in the main cage. Fuel cell required with quality built mount. Drive shaft loops mandatory on all vehicles. Secure fabricated battery box required. Quality built seat mount and racing seat with 5 point racing belt harness. Engine must be in stock location and in center of chassis. #1 plug must be in front of or on the centerline of the upper ball joint. No frame modifications except for fuel pump clearance. Weight jack bolts are allowed.

Front suspension: Upper control arms may be made from tubing and may be relocated. Lower control arm mounts must remain in stock location. Any factory style spindles. Lower control arms must be stamped stock style and factory stock lengths. All steering links, idler, and center link etc. must be stock style or OEM. Tie rods can be tubular with hyme ends. No fabricated spindles. Steel stock style hubs and rotors, stock style steel single piston calipers, no wide 5 hubs. Must have working brake on all 4 corners. Steering boxes only and quick steering ok. Racing springs permitted only and must be in stock location. Weight jack bolts are permitted.

Rear Suspension: Any factory style steel brakes are allowed.Stock chassis mounts only. Frame mounts may not be modified or changed with one mounting location for trailing arms. Leaf spring vehicles may have adjustable mount on rear only. Any stock style steel rear end is permitted. Floater style rear ends ok. Steel hubs with a factory style lug pattern only and no wide 5 hubs. No quick change rear ends. Rear suspension links must be stock, but may be boxed for strength and safety. Trailing arms must be within a half inch of factory length. Racing springs permitted..  Any leaf spring is allowed. Weight jack bolts are permitted. Suspension links on the rear end housing must not be adjustable, either one hole only or welded at the track.

Shocks: Steel bodied none adjustable shocks are permitted. No adjustable shocks, no reservoir shocks, no Schrader valve shocks, no piercing valve shocks will be allowed. Any valve style shock must not be able to be altered at the track. Shocks may be claimed for $100. One shock per corner of the vehicle will be permitted. No bump springs or spring rubbers allowed. No bump stops permitted. No bump springs mounted inside the shock body. Shocks must be able to be fully compressed or extended by hand. The track reserves the right to claim shocks for inspection. In this case the driver’s money will be held until the shock is determined to be legal. If the shock is illegal, further penalties will be assessed.

Tire/Wheel: 8” maximum wheel width and 15” tires only. Beadlock wheels will be permitted on the right side only. Wheel spacers up to one inch permitted, but lug studs must show one round of threads. Oversized lug nuts are recommended. No grooving or siping of tires will be permitted. No chemical altering of tires. No aluminum wheels. DOT STREET TIRE & Hoosier or American Racer 26.5×8 or 27.5X8 HARD -No ALTERCATIONS

Trans: Stock manual style transmissions are allowed. Any style stock style clutch or pressure plate is permitted. Automatic transmissions with shift kits are allowed. Drive shafts must be painted white.

 

Engine: Option 1, weighing 3,000 pounds. Standard production engines, Chevy 350, Ford 351, and Chrysler 360. No Bowtie heads/blocks, No SVO heads/blocks, No Chrysler W blocks. No high performance factory components. Engines can have a max of .060 over bore. No polishing or coatings on the inside of the block. Engine may be balanced. No external machining on the block. Flat top pistons, must have 4 eyebrows same size. Cranks must be stock, with stock stroke, and a minimum of 50 pounds. Rods must be cast or forged steel, I-beam only and stock factory length. Piston must not extend above block. 4 bolt blocks permitted with factory stock caps only. Heads must be stock for the engine being raced. Production heads only. No angle-plug heads on this engine option. Max intake valve 1.94 and max exhaust 1.50, 70cc minimum chamber on heads. No porting, grinding, or polishing. Steel valves, retainers, and keepers only. Stamped steel rockers or roller tips, must be factory ratio.  Pushrods stock length only. Guide plates and screw in studs are allowed. Cast iron low rise intakes will be permitted with no modification, no Bowtie or SVO intakes. No angle cut heads. 3 angle valve job is permitted. Stock type hydraulic cam and lifters with a max of .450 lift. No mushroom lifters and no altering lifter bore. Holley unaltered 4412 carburetor 500 2 barrel carburetor. Choke may be removed, choke horn must remain intact. One inch carburetor spacer permitted. All heads must be within one degree of factory valve angle. 2101 Intake, 2701 Intake, Vortec Heads.

Engine: Option 1A, weighing 3,200 lbs. Standard production engine, Chevy 350, Ford 351, Chrysler 360. No bowtie heads/blocks, no vortec heads, no angle plug heads, no SVO heads/blocks, no Chrysler W blocks. No high-performance factory components. Engine may have max over bore of 0.60, no polishing or coating inside the block.No cutting/machining outside the block. No dry sump. Engine may be balanced. Crank must be stock, with stock stroke, and a minimum of 50 lbs. Rods must be cast or forged steel, I-beam only, and stock length. Flat top pistons only and piston cannot extend above the block. Production heads only, must be stock for the engine being raced. All heads must be within 1 degree of factory valve angle. No angle cut heads. No porting, grinding, or polishing of heads. 64cc minimum chamber. 3 angle valve job permitted. Max intake valve 2.02, max exhaust 1.6. All valves, retainers, and keepers must be steel. Stamped steel rockers or roller tips, must be factory ratio.  Pushrods stock length only. Guide plates and screw in studs are allowed. Stock type hydraulic cam only and lifters only. Max cam lift of .480, no mushroom lifter or altering lifter bore. Cast iron low rise intakes only with no modification, but choke horn must remain in tact. 1″ carburetor spacer permitted. Holley unaltered 4412 carburetor 500 2 barrel carburetor. Choke may be removed, choke horn must remain intact.

 

Engine: Option 2, GM 602 crate engine weighing 3,300 pounds. This engine must be sealed from GM. No changes are allowed to the engines internally or externally. All components on the engine must remain as delivered from GM out of the crate. No vacuum pumps. All serial numbers, seals, or other identifications must not be altered. Holley unaltered 4412 carburetor, No HP series. **Factory GM engines that came with the vortec heads will also be permitted, 3,300 pounds. The engine must maintain all stock dimensions and original equipment components, such as valve size, lifters, crank, rods, pistons, rockers, intake, and block. No intake spacers. Racing oil pan permitted. This engine will be allowed to be the same specs as a stock GM 602 crate engine, with no exceptions. Both engines under option 2 must run a stock Holley unaltered 4412 carburetor with a maximum of a one inch spacer. No XP series Holley 500.

 

Ignition: Any standard distributor type electronic ignition allowed. No magnetos. One 12 volt battery only. HEI distributor permitted. No dual point distributors no crank triggers.

 

No ignition boosters, firing order must remain stock. No traction control. Alternators will be permitted.

Water pump: Stock style cast aluminum or steel water pumps permitted. No electric water pumps or electric fans permitted.

Exhaust: Headers or stock style manifolds are permitted. Headers must be 4 tubes going into 1 collector. No tri-Y headers no merge headers.

Fuel: A mechanical style fuel pump is permitted. Pump must be in the stock location. No electric or belt driven pumps. Pump gas or racing gas will be permitted. No alcohol, nitrous, E85, propylene, methanol, or other exotic fuels.

Tires: Both rear tires must punch 56 before qualifying and feature race one 4 barrel 4150 style no dominators

 

Engine set back will be 6 inches from center of top ball joint to the most forward spark plug

Racing Gas or E-85 fuel allowed. The specific gravity may not exceed .750

Protest fee for fuel check is $50.00

Weight for engine combination your claiming must be posted on right side “A” pillar. Failure to post correct weight will result in disqualification. If no weight is posted, you will have only 1 lap to qualify

No traction control device of any kind

Electronic ignition boxes may be bought for $300.00

Visual protest fee is $75.00 Track retains $25.00

Rod protest fee is $100.00 Track retains $50.00

Engine Protest fee for Engine A B C is $400.00 Track retains $100.00

Engine protest fee for engine D is $100.00 Check bolts and box

Working raceceivers are mandatory

Steel rod verification. Oil pan will be removed or inspection plugs can be installed in oil pan

Time limit on tear down must be done in timely manner. Track officials will monitor this.

If the official declares that has not been done in a timely manner, the official reserves the right to declare disqualification.

The track reserves the right to amend, delete or change rules in the interest of competition.

 

FUEL BURN OFF

1lb per lap with 10lb total tolerance allowed.
